Are You as Spiritual as Our
Native Elders?
Are you as Spiritual as our Native Elders?

One of the greatest points of having faith or serving God is the question;
How spiritual are you?  If we look at our Native Elders as an example both
living and dead, we would find out the bar is extremely high.  Our Elders are
those who were brought up in very strict spiritual ways.  Their Elders were
very intimate with God and the spiritual world.  Many stories abound of the
old ways that were given by Creator – God.  Their experiences were proof
of the existence of a Spiritual being that cared for his creation.  The vast
stories of spiritual occurrences were reality to those who experienced them.
Many of the educated of today quickly dismiss these so called tales of
spiritual occurrences.  Again if you’re a Christian and you’re explaining or
retelling a story of the Bible; aren’t some of the tales a bit far fetched?  But if
you’re spiritual you would expect people to understand and give you some
consideration of these incredible stories.

Are you as spiritual as our Native Elders?  Do you take all the Bible says as
“gospel”.  This ministry is not ashamed to take the position of support of
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Many ministries we know take the
“middle of the road position”.  This position tries to cater to everyone and
not offend, it’s the old cookie cutter approach to the gospel.  More and more
the church is taking the politically correct approach.  Jesus said we’re to be
the salt of the earth, however more and more the church is losing its savor.
We all stand for God and Jesus, but what of the Third Person of the Trinity.
We hear more and more about the support of the Spirit from every
denomination, ministry and church, however the truth of the matter is this; the
vast majority of Christians fall well short of acceptance and practice of the
things of the Spirit.

It is spelled out in countless scriptures in the Bible.  One of Jesus’ main
purpose was to bring every Christian to a new relationship with God the
Father through the acceptance of the Holy Spirit, through His(Jesus)
sacrifice.  Christians use the name of the Spirit in a quasi-meaningful
accepting fashion; however there is no true acceptance as the Bible calls
for.  Jesus told his disciples to go and wait for the promise of the Holy
Ghost, this was a commandment, not a request , not a well if you have time,
but a commandment.  The result was Spiritual power like he possessed.
And the Church was born.  The miracles, signs and wonders performed by
these and the others to follow that would accept the Spirit in this way would
change the authority the people would possess.

But the denominations of today and yesteryear, try to convince you that the
Spirit does not exist in this manner any longer.  This is one of the greatest
misconceptions of the church in its history.  Are you Spiritual as the Native
Elders, are you as Spiritual as the Christian Elders who knew the Spirit.
Here at Native Christian Way we often say our Native people are extremely
spiritual, they accept things at face value, the Spirit is real, He still exists in
our world today, the scriptures are very clear.  Jesus said in Acts 1:8; But
you will receive power when the Holy Ghost will come upon you and you will
be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Are you as Spiritual as our Native Elders?  Can you be honest with God and
put aside your denominational boundaries and ask God Himself if this is
real?  We suggest getting alone with God and do as the disciples did, ask
the Holy Spirit to come in to your heart.  The disciples took ten day for the
Spirit to come, but it doesn’t have to take that long, we have prayed for
people who received Him in a matter of minutes, others hours, some asked
for wees, months even years.  It all comes down to faith.  When a Native
went on a vision quest or into a sweat lodge they went believing and the
answer came, just trust God, don’t doubt.  Something we haven’t disgusted
is the evidence that the Spirit has come into your heart.  This is scriptural,
every occurrence in the Bible showed a sign of speaking in a language that
wasn’t their own.  Why, because it was proof and it was a new language to
pray by.  Search the Bible and see it these things are true.

God Bless you and we pray you become as Spiritual as the Native Elders.
